So what do celebs that don't get invited to the Oscars do to watch the Oscars? Well they get all dressed up (as if they are going to the actual Oscars) and go to these Oscar Viewing Parties. This one that I got to cover with Lives of Style was at the Beverly Hills Hotel. It was such a random assortment of people at this event. Many people who are not necessarily big celebrities but at one time or another have been in movies or on tv. AND many, many, many people who where acting like they were famous and where never in anything. Very strange.
A very odd mix of people! The whole night my producer was asking me to find out who these people where. It was VERY hard.
The BEST part of the night had to have been my run in with Tommy Lee Jones! I had parked my car a few blocks away in Beverly Hills because I did not want to valet my car at the Beverly Hills Hotel (maybe someday!). So I was walking maybe a quarter of a mile to the hotel through Beverly Hills and there standing on the street is Tommy Lee Jones waiting by a car while a group of people were coming out of a house. I wish I said something! All I could seem to do was awkwardly double and triple take starring at him and then back down at the sidewalk!!! Man! Next time I run into him I HAVE to come up with something good to say!
